England will play a friendly with the Thai national team in Bangkok next year, Football Association of Thailand (FAT) president Worawi Makudi said yesterday.
Worawi, who is in England as guest of the English FA, said he had talked to English Premier League chairman Sir David Richards who confirmed that England will come to Thailand.
The date for England's first-ever match in Thailand will be determined after the draw for the 2010 World Cup finals is made in December, Worawi said.
"It is likely that England will go to Thailand next year probably as part of their preparations for the World Cup," he said.
